rak architecture have been appointed to explore the potential of adding an additional level of residential flats over an existing retail store in the heart of Kingston town centre.  The concept has evolved around the idea of a new light weight, modular inhabited roof structure, where a series of courtyard flats are located along one edge of the roof and a circulation access deck on the other.  The new residential level will provide 4 flats with generous external, private amenity terraces.
